Wikipedia: the free encyclopedia anyone can edit but one doesn't have an "inherent right to edit"?

Prediction

Because there is no community, and because the consensus model of site administration is irreparably broken, either the Foundation will take control of en.wikipedia by the end of 2010, or will direct the Arbitration Committee to do so.

Prediction FAIL... but it will happen at some point. Something will happen that embarrasses the Foundation enough. Give it time.

Looks like the WMF has drawn the line in the sand with MediaViewer. Surprised it took this long.

It's funny because it's true

On Wikipedia, anything you might do (including doing nothing) is, at the same time, prohibited, permitted, and required. No matter what you do, including doing nothing, you can be found guilty of violating some "rule" or another. What this means is that anyone can be convicted of a "crime" against the wiki at any time that is convenient to anyone else with more social power.
