PA0166 please feel free to message me here so we can discuss our differing opinions and reach an agreement.
In "A Man A Mile," Mac asked Danny if he was phobic. Danny said he is not afraid of anything, he just prefers to be above ground. There was never any mention of any fear of confined spaces at all. A brief comment about a phobia does not suggest Danny is in any way phobic or may be phobic. PA0116
"Tanglewood" is not an area, it is a gang called "The Tanglewood Boys." In reality, the Tanglewood Boys reside in Yonkers, NY. PA0116
Cindy was never on the show. Why mention that she called him once when he didn't even answer the phone? Also, it is not widely accepted that Danny has had a long string of girlfriends. There's no proof of him being a serial dater. PA0116
Just as "many" people think Danny is NOT a playboy. Saying he's had girlfriends doesn't imply that at all. A man in his thirties will most likely have had multiple girlfriends throughout his life. Also, to say he was "leering" at waitresses is a bit much. Leering is often seen as vulgar, and Danny was in no way vulgar in that scene. PA0116
You're right, and by saying "SOME PEOPLE" the wording implied SOME people do not feel this way.
His quote uses the present tense. "HAS girlfriends for this" indicating he may currently be seeing multiple women.
What would you prefer her "checking out" the waitress? Because he definitely did that. Whether or not you think Danny's behavior was vulgar here is your opinion.
I really don't feel like warring you on this. I'd like to reach a compromise here and am offering as much.Roximonoxide (talk) 06:23, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
I feel just as strongly about this being left out as you do about it being left in. There's really nothing more I can say. PA0116
Is there something you feel we could add to it for you to justify leaving it in? I feel like I'm making most of the compromises here.Roximonoxide (talk) 06:37, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
I think it's ridiculous to say that Danny is a playboy because he *gasp* has had more than one girlfriend and that he *gasp* dares to look at attractive women. The man is an adult, so saying that is juvenille. PA0116
I think it's ridiculous that you won't accept another POV in a WIKI. Just because you don't think it's says something about someones promiscuity to have multiple relationships doesn't mean SOME people can't. I've watered down these statements enough in effort to compromise with you and so this no longer seems like any such majority feel this way and that it is, at best, only an opinion held by SOME viewers. Considering a wiki tries to maintain COLLECTIVE information with as neutral a stance as possible, I don't think this factually supported notion being left in is asking much at all. You also seem to still be under the impression Danny said he "had" (past tense) girlfriends which is not what was said. Again, he said he "has" as in the current, present tense. This tense implies he maintains more than one relationship at a time, and in juggling relationships I think that pretty clearly suggest some level of promiscuity.Roximonoxide (talk) 07:09, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
It's amazing, and quite funny, to me that if it's my opinion it's obviously wrong and I'm forcing my way over some invisible "majority;" but your opinion is obviously right and supported by canon. Danny said "I have girlfriends for that." That does NOT clearly suggest he's in more than one relationship at a time and is promiscuous. "I have girlfriends for that" can just as clearly suggest he means that whatever girlfriend he has at the time is who satisfies him sexually. A man in his thirties who has had multiple relationships and checks out attractive women is normal and does not suggest a "playboy" status. But fine, I added a line clarifying that SOME people see his behavior as that of a normal, single guy and not a playboy. There's your compromise. PA0116
