The question was asked recently, (paraphrasing), why are these eSports folks getting so much hassle?. This essay is an attempt to answer that. But, as this is essentially the same argument I've made numerous times, in totally unrelated AfD and DRV discussions, I'm going to break it out as an essay, for easy future reference. If you agree with my philosophy, please feel free to quote this in other discussions. At which point the wiki-lawyers will probably point out that this is just an essay, not a guideline, or a policy, or a pillar, or any other kind of wiki-pontification.
