When I have time and feel like it, I contribute to Wikipedia (mostly the Russian one, others eventually and anonymously), writing mostly about blues, mathematics, history, programming, linguistics and religion. From time to time I wikify or extend existing articles as well. I am also quite active in Wikipedia Commons, always seeking and uploading public domain images or making new ones with LaTeX.

Important dates:

  • 29 June 2004 — registered in Wiki, wrote some 20 articles the same day.
  • 4 July 2004100 non-minor edits.
  • 1 June 2005 — met lots of wikipedians in person, including Jimmy Wales, whom I told about the Murphy-Ellywa law, which he surprisingly did not know.
  • 1 June 2005 — registered in Commons.
  • 9 June 2005 — registered in English Wiki (I did contribute to it anonymously before)
  • 29 June 2005 — one year in Wikipedia. Not that much done: 535 edits (102 minor ones). This one did not count ;)
  • 29 June 2007 — three years in Wikipedia, 2432 edits. I decided to permanently leave the project in favour of various Wikia wikis because of massive amount of deletions among the Wikipedia articles I've been most interested in.
