Remte is a village in Saldus Municipality, Remte Parish, Latvia. It's the center of Remtes Parish. The village has formed in the middle of parish on the shore of Remte lake. It's near road P109. The village is 15 km from Saldus and 107 km from the capital Riga. In the village there is a library, school, church, and a social care center ''Atpūtas". The village formed around the Remte Manor center. After WW2 village grew as as Soviet colective ''Remte". Remte Manor the park around it and the Remtes Lutheran church are National monuments.
