[1] On her professional website, Albert asserts that she is an LGBTQ+ rights supporter. Her private fan-group on Facebook is called "Annabeth's Angels", established in 2014. [3]

Critical Reception[edit]

In a 2021 review of Out of Character (2021), the critic writes that the characters were appealing, the "enemies to lovers" trope was engagingly presented, and the relationship trajectory was satisfying although the interactions tended to sentimentality.[4]

In a 2021 review on the site "Joyfully Jay" that specializes in LGBTQ romance reviews, the reviewer comments on Sailor Proof (2021) that the characters were well developed and appealing with the observation that the story was "sweet with heat." [5] Also in 2021, a review on "AAR (All About Romance)", the reviewer commented on Sailor Proof that the story was consistent with common romance novel tropes with likeable characters characterizing the text as "well written fluff that isn't going to put you into a sugar coma...". [6] A review in Publishers Weekly of the book Sink or Swim, the second book in the Shore Leave series, commented that the plot lacked crises driven drama, but for readers who preferred less tension, the main characters low drama relationship could be satisfying[7]

In a 2020 review of Conventionally Yours, the reviewer notes that the characters read as very young people learning about the adult world in a well defined representation of gamer culture. The reviewer comments, "This is a nice, soothing read with surprising emotional maturity." [8]
