My Wikipedia Contributions

[edit]

I don't spend much time on the platform as is evidenced by my having only made two edits since creating an account in 2006 (both involving my home town New Buffalo Michigan).

So while I don't hang out here much I have had a dozen or so occassions to investigate and review certain Wikipedia pages for edits (changes, deletes and omissions), something not possible without an account, but also something that is not reflected as a user reviewable "activity" on the platform (that I am aware of, short of log records for logins, logouts and visited pages).

Wikipedia Philosophy

[edit]

It's a tool. The information found used to be more reliable before being almost entirely co-opted by the intelligence community and other self-interested narrative pushing control freaks.

Dreams for Wikipedia

[edit]

I try to stick to reality and what's in front of me. Wikipedia does not necessarily represent either of these things. It's just a tool and so while it DOES have it's place and CAN BE useful, it should not be trusted as the authoritative source for anything in the absence of double and triple checking, particularily looking for key omissions or recent "event driven edits".
