Victoria Beer - Cerveza Victoria Victoria is a company of beer lager founded in 1928 by Luis Carrasco Franquelo in Malaga , Spain . It has been historically linked to this city and its idiosyncrasy, something that is reflected in its slogan " Malagueña y Exquisita ". It belongs to the Damm group.

The first factory, with 85 workers, had a daily production capacity of 15,000 liters that were distributed in Andalusia and the neighboring country of Morocco .

In 1937 an advertising poster that showed the "fat man with beer" became famous: a bald man, a typical German tourist of the time, [ 1 ] sitting at a table with a Panama hat in his hand wiping the sweat from head while smiling. On the table, a large glass of beer and the motto " Cerveza Victoria, Malagueña y exquisita ". This image became an icon of the city, reaching great popularity in the 1960s and during the tourist boom on the Costa del Sol .

In the early 1990s , Cerveza Victoria was bought by Grupo Cruzcampo . During this period, in 1996 production at the Malaga factory ended. Before 2007, Victoria beer was only marketed in supermarkets, until its new launch in barrels and third-party bottles. In 2017, it would open a new 3,374-square-meter factory in the Guadalhorce Industrial Estate in Malaga.

Victoria beer is made through a traditional slow maturing process, with a minimum of two weeks of aging. Bright golden in color, mild flavor, with "dense notes of toasted cereals", generous body and refreshing texture, it has an alcohol content of 4.8% and is recommended to be consumed between 4 and 6 ° C.
