Who Am I?[edit]

If you think the name Saccurvy is weird, it is. Now, don't get me wrong. I have a name, but Saccurvy is my username. It's just a fictional word that has no meaning. I like the sound of the word, so I just chose that word to be the username. In real life, I live in the suburb areas south of Chicago, in a tiny house. I'm not any special person or anything, just a person sitting in front of his laptop writing and editing stuff.

Why Am I Doing This?[edit]

I'm not being paid to do my job, so why am I doing this? The reason is because I want Wikipedia to be as reliable as possible, and make people trust this source. Trust me, any person with an Internet connection miles away can just access Wikipedia with a tap of a screen, and see the articles-for free! I might not be the most skilled, because I had just started writing and editing on Wikipedia, and I may never write an actual article, but I'm happy to just edit the current ones. I'm skilled enough to be able to help with grammar, tone, and typos (especially the very obvious ones).

Why Did I Start Doing This?[edit]

I started doing this because I thought it was fun. Most people (especially my friends) don't find writing fun. I find it fun though, as a way to express my opinions. But Wikipedia is different. I have to actually write down the facts, and get it verified. It's a new way to write, and learn things along the way. Now, it's time for the actual story. The story of how I started. I started because I was bored one day. The same laptop, staring at my desktop with the same files and same wallpaper. I thought I needed to search the web for things to do, and I came across blogging. I found writing fun, but not necessarily blogging. Then, I found another source that said reading Wikipedia articles. When I put my thoughts together, boom! I came up with the idea of writing things for Wikipedia. I knew I needed motivation and time to do this, but I gave it a shot. I knew I probably wouldn't write any articles, but I would improve the articles that have errors in them. That's how this all started.

Hobbies[edit]

I would probably say doing stuff on my computer. The computer world is full of fun things to do, like gaming and all that kind of stuff. I only game when I feel like relaxing though, the other times I'm either coding or 3D modeling. I also sometimes spend some time with my fellow diecast cars. Oh, did I forget to mention something? I also like cars. I don't build crazy models or anything like that, I just like the ones I can buy, put on a shelf, and have good times together. I have some of the smaller scaled ones too. A lot of them actually. I also like to draw and read, but in reading, I like non-fiction books in particular. The books that I would buy. The reason is, if you read a novel (which I sometimes do), you know everything in the story and what has happened. But in a non-fiction book or encyclopedia, there's tons of information that you can look over, and you can also look over and over for more reference. Don't get me wrong, novels are great, they enhance your language and grammar, but non-fiction books or encyclopedias teach you right from the words. The words right in front of your face.

My Conclusion[edit]

I guess I'm a great person and all, a little unique. I hope I can help make Wikipedia a better place to be, and to be a reliable source one day. The type of sources that teachers won't say aren't considered reliable. Anyways, have a great time on Wikipedia!
