User:Sai Weng

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sai Weng refers to a chengyu, or four-character Chinese idiom, meaning "a blessing in disguise" (simplified Chinese: 塞翁失马; traditional Chinese: 塞翁失馬; pinyin: sài wēng shī mǎ). A literal translation would be "the old frontiersman lost his horse", with Sai Weng the old man. It comes from a well-known story about bad luck turning good and vice versa. See here for more info and usage notes.

I originally created an account to fix a couple typos, but curiosity about the Euromaidan protests in Ukraine led me down the rabbit hole of Wikipedia editing. I hope to be more active in the future!
