About me

I am a PhD student working as part of the NU-SPINE network. Part of the Biomaterials Systems group, my focus is on developing spinal fusion implant designs. My interest in the medical field stems from my undergraduate course at the University of Leeds where I worked on developing a methodology to calculate friction on lubricated three-dimensional surfaces, specifically hip joint prosthetics. I also provide assistance in ongoing MSc projects within the group.

Research area

My research mainly focuses on the mechanical evaluation and design of spinal implants. Designing the next generation of implants requires a multi-disciplinary effort from both engineers and doctors. Therefore, I work closely with OssDsign, Akademiska Sjukhuset, and other members in the Nu-Spine network to develop patient-specific, biocompatible, and osteoinductive implants.
