Strong Will Seed

[edit]

Strong Will Seed (Also known in Thai as โครงการเมล็ดกล้า) is a small non-profit project started by Samsuda Khem-nguad and Erika Reagan in June 2010. The project is situated in Chiang Mai, Thailand. At the time, the founders were just 15 years old. The project started as an attempt to help Baan Hua Kuang School, a primary school in San Patong district to raise money for their school's lunch budget (10,000 Baht/year). However, the project wants the children at the school to also take part in this fund raising and help themselves. Thus, the founders innitiated that the children of Baan Hua Kuang School make greeting cards from cutting and pasting paper into art pieces. The project was reponsible for packaging the cards and selling and distributing them. Due to the success of their first innitiative, the school raised 20,000 Baht by December of 2010, the project expanded into other schools in the countryside of Chiang Mai. Today, Strong Will Seed is working in colaboration with 6 primary schools in raising funds for various causes through making greeting cards. The project portray itself as a new generation project which provides sustainable help for youth.[1]
