Voluntary Library is also called as popular libraries, circulating libraries and social libraries. It can be described as "a library established voluntarily, having a social service motive as the prime objective, by an individual, informal group or an organization other than Government of any kind or jurisdiction"[1]. Or "a library established by voluntary group to make the books accessible to public with or without any membership charges"[2].
