WikiProject on M*A*S*H
Scope[edit]
This WikiProject aims to provide a common layout for articles about and concerning M*A*S*H, whether it be the novels, the film or the television series.
Parentage[edit]
The parents of this project are WikiProject Television and WikiProject Fictional series.
Similar WikiProjects[edit]
This project is partially inspired by WikiProject Harry Potter.
Participants[edit]
Structure[edit]
The bar at the bottom of the screen (the proper name escapes me) detailing "Preceded by" and "Followed by" can be included in most character and all episode articles, where appropriate.
Note: All structure detailed below is currently under discussion.
Characters[edit]
All character articles feature an infobox containing basic information that shall be expanded upon in the article itself. Articles should consist of:
- an intro;
- a short paragraph detailing life before the 4077th (if possible);
- a number of paragraphs detailing the character at the 4077th (naturally);
- a small trivia section (again, if possible) and external links.
The life of the character within M*A*S*H should be expanded upon; therefore spoiler warnings need to be used where appropriate.
Episodes[edit]
There is an infobox template available for M*A*S*H episodes. Plot should be expanded on; therefore spoiler warnings will need to be utilised. Articles should consist of:
- an intro;
- a detailed overview of the plot ("Detailed story")
- trivia and/or plot holes (if available) and external links.
The aim of the "Detailed story" is not to reprint large slabs of dialogue; instead to retell the plot in a concise and interesting fashion.
Hierachy definition[edit]
Currently (ie. at the creation of this WikiProject), character and actor articles aren't really categorised past Category:M*A*S*H characters and Category:M*A*S*H actors respectively. In future, episode articles will go under Category:M*A*S*H Season 1 or something along those lines. Feel free to add your ideas at the talk page.
