Biography
[edit]Evangeline was born in Little Compton, RI in 1858. In spite of limited formal education, she became one of the most learned intellectuals of her era. She married muralist Edwin Blashfield in 1881 and spent much of her adult life in New York city, where she influenced art, urban planning, literature and the woman's suffrage movement.
