Scruffy McRuss

A creature of evenings and weekends, he is rarely seen away from his computer desk, though he maintains a healthy weight of 140 Lbs. and is 6 feet tall. Strange, no?

Frequenty called strange and downright insane, he is comfortable with both titles, as he enjoys every minute of both. Simple in life, desires and goals, Scruff is entirely content with living how and when he sees fit.

Life, Location, Schooling and Creative Endevours

Scruff has lived just over seventeen years on this Earth, and while he whines quite a bit, is actually quite well off. He lives in Victoria B.C., which is on the western coast of Canada and, contrary to common belief, gets very little snow and the temperature rarely dips below freezing. He attends Claremont Secondary and is in grade 12, easily enjoying the luxury of being in his last year, despite being laden with heavy courses. His grade average has never been great, but neither has he cared too much.

Scruff has a wide variety of friends and gets along very well with most anyone who does not actually try to get under his skin, which is actually a large group of people. He enjoys what some people would call "partying," if translated, it generally refers to "hanging out with friends at their houses."

A creature of the evening, Scruff is well known to be at his most entertaining, energetic and creative in the late hours. This is when he can be found writing poems, prose and occasionally rocking out on one of his four guitars.

Scruff has had one successful love and is working on another. Neither of these things are actually important, so we shall move on.

Musical Equipment

Scruff's guitars

Scruff plays the guitar. He loves all four of his guitars; which include a travel sized acoustic which he first learned on, a Squire Stratocaster, which is the same as a Fender Strat but is less expensive, and an Epiphone Les Paul, which is generally the same as a Gibson of the same name, but less expensive again. His last instrument is a bit of a pet project, an old Suzuki acoustic that he picked up from his grandparents; it is at least thirty years old and belonged to one of his uncles.

Scruff has two amplifiers, a Fender Frontman 15G, which, in his opinion, is a pile of crap and his main amp, newly bought, is a Marshall MG15MSGII Ministack, which sounds like sex, also according to him.

Epiphone Les Paul

This is Scruff's second most recent addition to his guitars, and his third newest device overall. It should be noted that this guitar has been quoted as "better sounding than any Epiphone I've heard before."

Squier Stratocaster

Scruff's first electric guitar, fairly standard and basic. Was recieved along with the Fender amp in a Strat Pack.

Acoustic guitars

Both of Scruff's acoustics are simple but effective instruments. He notes that the smaller guitar, his first, is a well made device, however its size is a limitation, both in sound and playability. The Suzuki is old and simple, but according to Scruff, sounds great and is just the right size to drag wherever he is going.

Both are wired with D'Addario .10 guage strings.

Marshall MG15MSGII Ministack

A little amp with a big f---ing sound is the best way to describe this amp. Scruff loves it to pieces and rightly so, it is only three feet off the ground and sounds much akin to the ten foot Marshalls you would see on stage. The amp has two speakers, stack atop one another with a small cab on the top controlling volume, bass, contour, treble, reverb and distortion. It puts out 15 watts of power and Scruff has no idea what this means other than "lots of loud."

The Fender amp would be mentioned, but is hardly worth mentioning, as it is a pile of crap.
