IP-hopping editor from Malaysia who rapidly changes dates on biographical articles.

Biographies (especially those of government officials), lists of government officials.

The IP addresses are located in Malaysia. The locations are often, but not always, in Kota Kinabalu or Sabah state or Kuala Lumpur or nearby locations in Selangor state.

Vandalism consists of rapidly changing dates (years), often on biographical articles. Birth years, death years, etc. Sometimes they make other minor edits (adding random categories, wikilinking and de-wikilinking).

Edit summaries, if present, usually consist of a single year (e.g. 2017) or a series of years separated by spaces (e.g. 1928 1948 1958). More recently, edit summaries are sometimes pasted raw wiki text.

For the most part, they will use a particular IP for a one-day vandalism spree, and then move on to a different IP.

They do not communicate with other users.

I've blocked Special:Contributions/2001:D08:1800:0:0:0:0:0/34 for one month on Nov. 19th since most of the edits from that range consist of vandalizing dates. EdJohnston (talk) 02:38, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
