This is my idea for an unofficial group on Wikipedia. I hope to start promoting it soon. Please do not edit it whilst the plans are being carried out, although you are welcome to sign up.

The Vandal Cleanup Group was established to carry out some of the tasks relating to the fight against vandalism. There are three groups. Patrollers regularly spend time looking through recent changes and random pages looking for vandalism that can be cleaned up. They will do so, and warn offenders. Watchmen keep an eye on pages that have been under attack from vandals, by keeping them in their watchlist and reverting any untoward behaviour. Members are those who do not have the time to patrol or watch pages regularly, but who are committed to our cause, and might choose to help in the anti-vandal fight occasionally.

Each of the three groups has their own subpage which is maintained by the group leader. Members of each group can add join by signing the members page on each section.

Group Leadership

The group is lead by the President, who is, at present the group founder, and will remain so until his resignation. He is assisted by the Vice President, who is appointed by the President, and remains at the will of the president.

Councillors will also be appointed for annual terms, when the group grows. They will be appointed in three tranches of three (thus eventually there will be nine councillors). The elections will be called by the president when it is felt that there is enough members to begin this process. An additional councillor, the Presidential Councillor will be selected by the president to bring the council membership up to 10. The members of the council will then vote for the Council Leader who will become the figurehead of the group.

Clerks will be nominated by the President, to take care of the administration tasks of the group, the nominations must be confirmed by a majority of the council.

Tasks

This is a list of tasks that all members can contribute to. There are a list of tasks on each division's main page that members of the individual divisions can contribute to.
