• Brief definition of what academic entrepreneurship is
• Give overview of common examples of academic entrepreneurs, and what their focus was (2-3 examples min)

Background

• Give brief overview of where the term originated from
• Outline some of the first academic entrepreneurs, and how/why they came to create such a profession
• Discuss the background that lead to the desire for the creation of a profession like this one
• Discuss how such profession was received at the time of its emergence, and some of the main critiques that it received

Examples:

• Going into more detail about those individuals mentioned in the opening, who pioneered the field
• Explain how they contributed to the progression of the profession today
