BIO: Shane Williamson has worked in both information technology and the mobile industries in various technical, marketing, strategy and management roles. Shane’s extensive experience in many areas of the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) arena has included positions within the South Pacific and South East Asian regions, working for companies such as Microsoft, 3 Australia (Hutchison 3G) & Optus.
Shane’s background has given him a unique skill set for marketing, business development and management roles in Unified Communications, Fixed to Mobile Convergence, mobile development & integration.
As an active member of the local mobile industry Shane co-founded Mobile Monday Sydney ([1]) which is a highly popular monthly networking industry event. Shane is also a member of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) Mobile Industry Group (MIG) ([2]) that initiates development and educational programs to assist Australian mobile businesses.
Shane is also invited regularly to speak at industry & corporation events and he has established a blog called Shane’s Place to share his research and published articles.
