Development
[edit]On 6 October 2023, Dark Rain Entertainment announced six projects, one of which is titled Awa.[1] On 29 November 2023, it was revealed that radio presenter Shahudha Mahmood will be directing the film and her husband, actor Sharaf Abdulla has been roped in to play the actor of the film.[2] Additional cast of the film was announced to include Mariyam Majudha, Sheela Najeeb and Hussain Shaad.[2] After renaming the project to Bibii, filming commenced on 18 December 2023.[3]
