Alhassan Sharhan[edit]

Sharhan comes from Wa, a decentralized municipal district in the Upper West Region of Ghana. He hails from a clan in Upper West Region called 'Tagirahi'. 'Tagirahi' is a clan of people that have their origins in Northern African countries like Mali and Niger. This clan is notable for their position as 'Yeri-naahi', a statutory role that they play in installing chiefs in the region. He is the second and middle child of a family of three to Sheikh Alhassan Mohammed Siddique and Hajia Hanatu Mahama Koodi.

Early Life[edit]

He was born on 18th May 1993 in the Wa Regional Hospital. His was three when his father, Sheikh Alhassan Mohammed Siddique traveled to Saudi Arabia to obtain a bachelors degree in Islamic Studies, theology, and Prophetic teachings. He spent all his teenage life in Wa. He currently schools in Ashesi University but usually travel back home during the Christmas break and Summer period.

Education[edit]

Sharhan currently pursues a degree in Electrical Engineering in Ashesi University. Prior to his pursuance of this programme of his degree, he has undertaken a 1-month introductory training in Petroleum Engineering and Arabic language in Sudan. He studied in Teachers and Du'aat Training Institute in Kumasi where he obtained a Diploma in Islamic Theology and Arabic Language. He completed Nandom Senior High School in the Upper West Region where he studied General Science
