MARTHOMA CHURCH ENATHU[edit]
In AD1860 enathu Christian believers build a new church from the sanction of Mar Athanasius and the 6hector
land were given by the king of Travancore without any land tax. Then the first vicar was the Mamman kathanar after
his death his son Mathan kathanar became the vicar of the mtc enathu.
Through the year of A.D 1911-70 church face many of struggles this affect in the budget of the church.
In these year's the church was made upon with coconut leaves after that some changes happened in the
roof but people's sited in the church with leaves and some discrimination also present
in-between the men women in sitting position.
In A.D 1943 the old church rebuild to new church but front of the church fell down in 1956 and
then 1957 this church rebuild to new this was the third church. Building works was lead by
vicar: P.K mathew.This was the beginning of development & in 1970 the church divided into 13 prayer groups.
After 1970 church achieve the great development in faith and in budget also.
Years after the member’s number became increases rapidly and the space became decrease for that
new idea's were generated for building new church. And in 1999 vicar; Varghese Philip went ant lead in
building a nice new church for his and people hard work became success in 2002 jan19, in 2010 the church
celebrate the 3rd golden jubilee (150) and now this church giving light to not only to Christian believers
but also for the people living around this church
This church now working in the sectors of sundayschool, yuvaganasakyam, seviyasangam, sannadhasuvishesa sangam and many more.
