Shimane Mosenogi is a son of Sibongile Tshabalala and Ramilo Mosenogi, born on Tuesday, 1978 fourth of the fourth month at Orlando East, Soweto. He was raised at Pimville, Soweto where his parents owned a house but his parents work related issues made him to move to the East Rand, Duduza township where he spent most of his childhood.

He later relocated to Moletsane township, the heart of SOWETO and he even matriculated at Moletsane Secondary School, previously known as CHATO. Shimane was forever a dreamer, a doer, a big thinker and a self-made man since childhood, and he therefore went further with his studies and attended to several tertiary institutions to equip himself with transformational knowledge.

Shimane is also known as Sir-Shimmy, an extraordinary person who is always organised, enthusiastic, creative and empowers everyone within his circles, touched lives of many, generated income opportunities to many and inspired many, expanded their boundaries and unleashed their potentials.

Shimane is a humble and caring person and very energetic, he has developed a nature and responsible approach to any task that he undertakes, very eager to learn new things in life and being challenged is what he admires the most as he believe such motivates him to better his best, to grow and to view life on a different perspective.

Sir-Shimmy is a very patient somebody, he respect everyone's point of view even if they don't match his and he uses the wisdom he gained. He is a responsible father of four kids whom their names are Mahlatse Vikakazi (aka Tshego), Kgomotso Vikakazi (aka Vusi), Lesedi Ngubane and Keitumetse Malila (aka Bontle), but he is a no-nonsense person and highly competent in what he does.

Sir-Shimmy is the founder of Shimmy Projects & Developments, since its founding in 2009, he continue being an inspiration with many communities, he is very concerned about kids from all walks of life and he want youth to have all resources to enable them to realize their full potential.

In 2014, Sir-Shimmy founded a group called SOWETO RESILIENCE CULTIVATORS, the group's motto is "United we Stand ... Divided we Fall". The group core values is to improve the lives of communities within and continue making contribution to the communities by engaging youths on activities and opportunities especially allowing them to have all the resources and assist youth to create an extraordinary quality of life by teaching youth's nationwide about the hidden secretes to manifesting prosperity.
