Hello there, I'm known online as Shinerweb but my real name is Chris Wright. The "Shiner" in my user name comes from my old Royal Navy nickname and I basically added the "web" to indicate or refer to my online presence. At present, I'm based in the village of Monk Sherborne. I was previously the online editor for Bramley265, The View and Loci Pannum which were village magazines that existed in previous years. I also helped with the Bramley Parish Magazine which is still up and running as of Dec 2015. I was also a Bramley Parish Councillor for a number of years and helped with their online activities. I am recovering from a spinal injury that occurred in 2001 whilst I was residing in the US. As a result I am now a long term Chronic Pain sufferer. Since I'm unable to perform much physical exertion these days, I concentrate my work in the online world.
I hope to ramp up my involvement with the Wikipedia project over the coming years.
