Shirin Hosseinvand is an Iranian American artist. She is mostly known for her big scale mirrored coca cola cans. Her artworks have been featured in numerous key galleries and museums.

Holding a bachelor degree in Art and Fashion Design from prestigious “ Parsons The New School for Design” in NYC, She has lived and worked in various parts of the world, including Tehran, Paris, Toronto, NYC and Washington DC.

Her primary focus has been on imbueing an ethnic identity into the concept of globalization and mass production.She believes that while globalization and industrialism have fostered cultural interaction between nations, They often lack the distinct identity that any culture can offer a product. Her mirrored Coca Cola sculptures are part of an traveling exhibition called “ Tradition Interrupted “ across U.S museums for 4 years 2020 to 2024.

Tradition Interrupted exhibition explores the methods used by 12 international artists to blend contemporary ideas with traditional art and craft across various media, from rugs to ceramics and mirrors. The 12 featured artists merge age old media and technique with innovation and re visioning culturally historic ideas to create new work that interrupts traditional practice but still collaborate with the past.

The exhibition features 23 works including sculpture, installation art, and 2D objects by 12 artists are from around the world which include : Anila Quayyum Agha (Pakistan), Faig Ahmed ( Azerbaijan), Shirin Hosseinvand (Iran), Jason Seife ( American), Mounir Fatmi ( Morocco), Ana Gomez (Mexico), Camille Eskell ( U.S ), Dinh Q. Lê (Vietnam), Steven Young Lee (U.S.), Jaydan Moore (U.S.), Ramekon O'Arwisters (U.S.), and Masami Teraoka (Japan).
