Curv[1] is a 60 storey residential tower being planned for 1075 Nelson Street [2] in downtown Vancouver, Canada. When Complete in 2029, it will have the distinction of being the tallest Passive House in the world. The tower, designed by architect Tom Wright [3] of WKK in the UK, will be located at the pinnacle of Vancouver's downtown peninsula and stretch 586.5 feet up from the ground. The project, developed by Brivia Group, is being led by Rick Gregory[4], a Canadian engineer and Brivia's Project Director in Vancouver. To achieve Passive House Certification Curv is incorporating such features as electrochromic glass and a centralized heat recovery ventilation system that will attain an efficiency of over 85%. The tower's curvy form was inspired by a young plant shoot emanating from a crack in the pavement.
