van eck power station[edit]

It is the last serving power station in Southern Africa using the dry cooling method.This power station is situated in Windhoek's northen industrial area, easily notable with its two 103 meters high chimneys. In Namibia the first power was distributed from this power station in 1972 and all distribution lines were connected to the 66 nad 220 KV high voltage yards.^[1]
