Joel Acheampong is a television executive (Assitant Manager of Sports Tv3) and a TV Host.He is Ghanaian and lives in Ghana.

Acheampong was born in Accra, Ghana, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), london, UK.He began his journalistic career as a sports presenter with then Vibe fm now live fm, on a youth show known as the personal development show (P.D.S) where he did presentation with Dennis Mirpur.

In 2006 he worked with Choice fm radio as a sports journalist.

from 2007, he joined the TV3 Sports team after having an internship with them, writing , directing and producing daily news and sports magazine shows, namely Sports Station, Talk Sports, Soccer Nite and the Sports on News, he later started sports presentation on the news in October of 2010 till date. he provided sports content for the Morning show on TV3 when it used to be Sunrise until now with a change in name called NEWDAY,

having covered a wide range of sporting events from in and around Ghana, the versatile and astute sports journalist though young and dynamic was nicknamed the Red Tiger on air

Joel left TV3 in 2014, doing his final sign off on dec 31.
