In Greek mythology, Sisyphys was the king of Ephyra who matched his wisdom to that of the gods. His hubris landed him in Tartarus where he was given the task of moving a round stone to the top of a hill. All day he would labor to move the stone to the top of the hill only to have it roll down the other side. The striving for purpose in this modern world makes all of us a kindred spirit in the vain of Sisyphys.
