Hi, I'm sixstringedthing. I'm also seen in several other spots around the web as sixstring or BlueRaven.

I'm obviously new to the Wiki but have been online since the days of 28.8k BBS's. I'm still getting my head around the markup, style manual, policies and procedures. So if I make bad edit decisions or create poorly formatted articles, please bear with me... Let me know where I screwed up and how to fix it, and/or link me to an appropriate template or essay. Your assistance will be appreciated. :)

My particular areas of knowledge, experience and interest include:

- Computers and Information Technology (mainly desktop environments and hardware, overclocking/watercooling/modding, some limited experience with *nix and enterprise environments).

- Audio-visual and Videoconferencing technologies (in consumer, commercial/corporate and production applications).

- Home/commercial automation and integrated/intelligent systems (I am a registered cabler and systems designer/programmer, familiar with a number of common platforms).

- Musical instruments, performance, composition, recording and related fields (I play guitar, keys and occasionally sing when there's nobody around!).

- Music history (mostly Jazz/Blues, Rock, Indie/Folk, with a smattering of Baroque/Classical/Romantic thrown in).

- Loudspeaker design and construction

- Electronics

If I can be of any assistance with articles relating to any of the above topics, feel free to let me know. I can't stand poor spelling and grammar, so expect a fair few of my edits to be cleanups of such. :) Any advice or a nudge towards articles/areas where I may be of use will be gratefully received.

Cheers,
