Article Critique

[edit]

I visited the Tulalip Bay, Washington page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: a lack of completeness, a lack of citations, and some information that may be out of date.

Lack of Completeness

[edit]

Because this page is not very popular amongst most people, it hasn't received the attention that it deserves. I am biased towards this page, because my family owns a house near the bay, so I believe there should be added information. This page covers the geographical specifics of the bay, but it is a very basic description.

Lack of Citations

[edit]

Although there are some citations, there are not enough. There are a few topics that haven't been cited, so there is no easy way to tell if the information is reliable or true. With the proper citations, many people would be more willing to rely on the facts found within this page.

Out of Date

[edit]

Under the "Demographic" heading, the information comes from the 2000 census. Many things can change drastically within seventeen years, so the information given may be out of date. The statistics could lead to many misunderstandings about the people and population of the area.

Summary

[edit]

The Tulalip Bay Wikipedia page is "alright". Although the page gives a broad understanding of the topic, if you were looking for an in-depth description, this page would not be the place. There is a very good overview about the bay, but with a lack of citations, it is hard to tell if you can trust this page. Once more citations are added and the page is fully completed, I would definitely recommend the page as reliable and trust-worthy.
