Fear entertainment has become the norm, especially in TV news in the post-Trump era, when so many of our brains are broken.

Fear entertainment is all MSNBC does most of the day for example when they cover Trump in 2024, and his legal travails. Same for Fox News when they cover the southern border or trans issues.

The facts will come out eventually if you watch long enough & you want to find out the substance of what's happening. But mainly, they entertain you all day by making you afraid of [fill in the blank]. Conveying quality information is entirely secondary.
