Hi, I'm Skipper1880. Having lived and worked in Balmain NSW since the early 1970's, I have become fascinated with the area's local history. It is birthplace of Rugby League, the Australian Labor Party and, what I'm excited to write about, the oldest Lawn Bowls Club in NSW, the Balmain Bowling Club. I hope my contribution helps document at some of the unique history of the Balmain Bowling Club and will entertain generations to come. Please feel free to add your history about the Club too.
