My name's Jessie and I do a bit of Wikipedia editing in my free time because I think this is an exciting project. I have a wide range of interests rather than a specific area of expertise, but I am an English/writing major, so one of my most useful skills is simply copyediting. I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Information, where I did a study of Wikipedia for one of my core classes.
I have also lived in Japan for a total of three years; I spent a year there 2004-05 during which I worked at Expo 2005 as a United States Pavilion Guide, and then from 2007-09 I participated in the JET Programme as an ALT in Shiga Prefecture. I passed Level 2 of the JLPT, which isn't enough to write Wiki articles in Japanese.
ジェシーと申します。２００４年にミシガン州のカラマズー大学から卒業しました。滋賀県で日本語を勉強した後で愛知県長久手町に引っ越して愛知万博でお働きしました。アメリカ館のガイドとして毎日火星探査機を日本語でも英語でもお客さまに説明しました。平成１９から２１まで滋賀県に戻って外国語助手指導として県立高等学校でお働きしました。
日本語能力試験２球を合格しましたが、まだ下手です。 間違いだらけ日本語を許してくださいね。帰ってしまったのに、せっかく習った日本語を忘れないように頑張っていきたいと思います。
