The BNP Paribas 240 is a fictional 2 hour, 40 minute sports car race held at the Circuit Paul Ricard as the first race of the Championnat AXA Alpine season. First held in the 2020 season, the event is typically held in early June, but dates are subject to change yearly.

The event was sanctioned by the Association for Worldwide Motorsport (AWM) for the 2021 season.

2020[edit]

The inaugural race was run on July 24th, 2020, featuring LMP2, GT4, and Production entries. The overall race was won by the Signatech Alpine factory team entry of Nicolas Lapierre and Pierre Thiriet. The GT4 class victory was taken by Kévin Estre and Patrick Pilet of IMSA Performance. The only non-French team taking part in the event, JDC MotorSports of the United States, took victory in the Production class.

2021[edit]

The opening race of the second season was run on June 5th, 2021, featuring LMP2, GT4, and Alpine A110 Cup entries. For the second consecutive season, the race was won by the Signatech Alpine Elf team, consisting of previous winner Nicolas Lapierre and Thomas Laurent. In GT, the Rédélé Compétition duo of Grégoire Demoustier and Alain Ferté claimed class victory, while JDC MotorSports also scored their second victory at the event.
