Hi, I am Smirwin88 and this page has been created as part of my Health Informatics University subject requirements.

Exercise One

[edit]

Signup to Wikipedia. Completed Monday 18th of March 2013.

Exercise Two

[edit]

Critically evaluate an existing Wikipedia page. Completed Sunday 31st of March 2013.

Five articles considered included:

  1. Kind Messages for Electronic Healthcare Record - This article was selected and suggestions for improving it were left on the article's discussion page.
  2. Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine
  3. Health Level 7
  4. Electronic Medical Record
  5. Diagnosis code

Exercise Three

[edit]

Add information to a Wikipedia page. Completed Saturday 13th of April 2013.

Information improved by myself on the KMEHR page included:

  • The addition of the year in which the standard was proposed.
  • The updating of outdated references, with links that no longer functioned.

It was agreed upon during week six class that the quality of referencing is too low due to the KMEHR being a relatively new development. A new topic will be chosen and exercise 3 will be completed again - after the original due date.

Exercise Three/Revised

[edit]

Add information to a Wikipedia page. Completed Thursday 25th of April 2013.

No page existed on the topic of E-referrals, the topic discussed during week Five's lecture. I therefore created the page Electronic Referrals. I will now await any possible peer review suggestions made, as well as start to draft my 700 words worth of additions in my sandbox for the completion of this assignment.

The first draft of the E-referrals page was uploaded at 366/700 words. Completed Monday 29th of April 2013.

Exercise Four

[edit]

Two Wikipedia pages chosen and peer reviewed include: Completed Monday 13th of May 2013.

Finished Wikipedia Page

Topic: Electronic Referrals

Completion Date: The 9th of June 2013
