Majesty Blessed Moses (born October 24, 1998), known professionally as Bizzy Banks, is an American rapper born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.[1] He is known for the hit single "30" with Pop Smoke which peaked at 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021.
Early life
[edit]Majesty Blessed Moses was born October 24, 1998 in Brooklyn to a Trinidadian-American household. Moses was inspired by the likes of G Herbo, Lil Wayne and his older brother[4].His favourite rappers growing up were Lil Wayne, G Herbo, Chief Keef and Young Thug but listened to a lot of reggae music. Bizzy's father and brother were both put in jail when he was younger so primarily grew up around his mother. Bizzy has an older brother and younger sister. Bizzy said in an interview with Audio Mack when asked about his upbringing "I wouldn’t say it’s what I’m about, but I would say the things I went through, like my older brother and my father going to jail when I was younger, it just made me become older at a young age because those two were the only two males in the house really. It was [just] me and my mom after a while. So, after that, I had to get on my gritty shit. Growing up where I’m from, you can’t slack in no way possible. I had to look at life differently."[5][6]
2022 Arrest
[edit]On January 7 2022 Bizzy Banks was taken into custody after a raid of his Hackensack apartment by the Hackensack Police Department SWAT Team where they found two pounds of marijuana, $2,750 in cash and a revolver loaded with hollow point bullets. Bizzy was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon-Handguns Without Permit, Distributing/Possessing/Possession With Intent to Deliver Drug Paraphernalia, Money Laundering-Transporting/Possessing Criminal Property, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose-Firearm-Anyone, Prohibited Weapons/Div-Hollow Nose/DumDum, Cert Person Not to Have Weapons Prior Conviction 2C:16-1 and CDS-Manu/Dist/PWID-Marij=/>5lb Hash=/>5g<1lb.
