Rules for classification: 1) Points; 2) Goal difference; 3) Goals scored; 4) Play-offs (only if needed to decide champion, teams for relegation or teams for UEFA competitions).[1]
(X) Assured of at least Europa League, but may still qualify for Champions League
Notes:
  1. ^ Since the teams remaining in the 2016–17 FA Cup (Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City) and the 2016–17 EFL Cup winners (Manchester United) are all currently in the top 7 of the Premier League table, all of the top 7 teams would qualify for European competition. However, the round that Arsenal and Everton would qualify for in the Europa League would depend on who the FA Cup winner is. If Arsenal win the FA Cup, they would qualify for the group stage while Everton would qualify for the third qualifying round. If a team other than Arsenal wins the FA Cup, Everton would take the group stage berth with the third qualifying round berth going to Arsenal.
