Hi everybody! My name is Stasya. I was born in USSR and still live in Russia. I am the teacher of history and social sciences. I use Wikipedia for about 5 years, circa from 2009-2010. I find Wikipedia the best tool to find the cross-language data upon notions, personalities, events and other encyclopedical data. It seems to me I inquire in the English section more often than in my native Russian one. For me Wikipedia is not the only data-containing environment in English. It may seem strange, however I feel myself more comfortable with the English interface of computer programs)). No wonder, since the Russian analogues are merely the localized versions, not the original products. So, when last week I came up to the necessity to open my personal page here as the user, I did not hesistate to start from English Wikipedia )). Presumably most folks open their accounts here to create new articles or to improve existing ones. I'm not so bold (. I am a reader, not a writer. I'm also not sure in my skills as the editor, even in Russian. The main puprose for me opening an account here is to establish communications with the people who work upon the definite scope of socio-historic sources. I'm also very curious about how Wikipedia 'works', i.e. how the community of writers and administrators provide the quality of the articles here. I wish success for everybody who helps Wikipedia to grow and improve. Maybe in some distant future I shall be also able to help them. But not just now, not at this time )). I don't mhave the necessary experience as the author.
