Revenue Operations is a management system that aligns marketing, sales, and customer success teams - and the systems, operations and processes that support them – around the revenue cycle to unlock more predictable and scalable organic growth [1] [2]

Revenue Operations is an emerging job function that orchestrates aspects of the operations to get better control over the end-to-end revenue cycle. Revenue Operations is the fastest growing job that pays over $100,000 a year in the U.S. according to MSNBC. [3]

The most common skills that Revenue Operations leaders must have include Sales Operations, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Data Analysis.[4] Revenue Operations also includes aspects of marketing operations management, sales effectiveness, Account based marketing, and customer experience management. Heads of Revenue Operations oversee all aspects of an organization’s revenue-generating activities, often working closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure go-to-market strategies support business goals and revenue growth. This position is also often labeled as “Chief Revenue Officer” or “Head Of Revenue Management.” [5] Revenue Operations titles on LinkedIn are increasing across the board to over 35,000 jobs currently posted [6]
