I am Stephencox, known elsewhere as Stephen Cox, a geochemist from the United States. I have edited Wikipedia on and off, as time allows, since 2005. Most of my work has been in the fields of earth science (and science in general) and American politics. I currently live in New York City, where I am a research scientist at Lamont–Doherty Earth Observatory. I was born and grew up in Texas, and I have also lived in California.
Within the field of geochemistry, my primary interests are radiogenic isotope geochemistry, noble gas geochemistry, geochronology, thermochronology, magnetic sector mass spectrometry, and quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometry.
