Steve Woods is an Actor, DJ and sometime rapper from Brisbane Australia.

Born to Christine Sankey and Danny Connelly in 1983, Steve lived his first six months under the care of Christine, who gave him up for foster care at six months old.

Put into permanent foster care with Wendy and William Woods, Steve lived his childhood years in the suburb of Chermside West. Strongly influenced by the music videos of Michael Jackson, Steve took up dancing at a very early age.

At age 12, Steve starred in his first musical, the Queen of Apostles Primary school production of Charles Dickens’s Italic textOliverItalic text, (directed by Gary Wood) as the villain Bill Sykes. A role that won him much acclaim from his peers, family and friends.

During his high school years at Craigslea High, Steve excelled at many subjects, most of all Film & Television. Under the tutelage of John Gurn, Steve found a mentor in John, whose shared passion of film impressed students and teachers alike.

At age 16, Steve’s foster mother Wendy passed away to Leukemia.

After graduating high school, Steve took on a number of roles in sales, IT, and media, working for companies such as the Commonwealth Bank, American Express, iiNet and Quest Newspapers.

Steve moved to Sydney in 2006, having holidayed there previously, he found the lure of the big city too much to resist. Making many friends, Steve rediscovered his passion for the arts through a close friend, Madonna Chidiac, and set about forging a career as an actor.

Returning to Brisbane in 2007, Steve currently studies at the Actor’s Conservatory.

He is managed by Alex Campbell.

Steve’s dream is to make his career in Hollywood.

Impressed with Heath Ledger's career, Steve wants to sign with Josh Lieberman at Creative Artists Agency.

As a Batman fan, Steve one day hopes to be involved with Christopher Nolan’s Italic textBatman BeginsItalic text franchise.
