Curtis Michael Allgier (b.1979)[2] is a white supremacist[3] , neo-nazi skinhead who is currently being held in prison for the confessed murder[4] of corrections officer Stephen Anderson. On Monday morning, June 25, 2007, Officer Anderson escorted Allgier to the University of Utah where Allgier was scheduled for an MRI as he had previously been complaining of back problems.[5] While waiting with Officer Anderson in an examination room at the university's orthopedic center, Allgier somehow shed his shackles, overpowered and disarmed Anderson and then shot him in the head. Allgier then fled on foot while Officer Anderson died at the scene. [6]After fleeing the clinic, Allgier carjacked a vehicle, and led police on a high-speed chase. Allgier was eventually captured at a fast-food restaurant a few miles away after a man tackled and held him until the police arrived.[7]
