Despite seeming economic chaos, J/Boats simultaneously (for the first time in its history) launches two new sailboats- the J/95 in the USA and the J/79 in Europe-- somewhat evolutionary as well as revolutionary in their thinking for the company.

First to launch was the J/97 in Les Sables d'Olonne, France on the Bay of Biscay in April. It is a 31 foot cruising boat designed with the same pleasing looks and pedigree as the "big sister" to her, the J/122. (see pictures below).

Second to launch was the J/95 in Bristol, Rhode Island on Naragansett Bay in May. Sailed by its designer Rodney Johnstone, this sailboat broke new ground for the J/Boats brand. It was the first high-performance shoal-draft daysailing and cruising boat. Imagine. Three feet of draft on a 31 footer and can still go upwind like a race horse! (see pictures below).
