Sumon Bari (born August 8, 1986 Sirajganj,Bangladesh) is an American Professional cricketer. From New York City, he started playing cricket when he was 7 years old from his hometown Sirajganj,Bangladesh. His the first Bangladeshi player represented American National under-19 side at the 2006 Under-19 World Cup as a Opening Batsman in Sri Lanka. His first Cricket tour in L.A. California played for New York u19 team 2004. He played 3 years u19 for New York as a Opening Batsman. Sumon Bari made his international under-19 debut at the 2005 Americas Under-19 Championship, played in King City, Ontario.The United States won all four of its matches at the tournament to qualify for the 2006 Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka,Colombo. Bari went to India,Hyderabad for warm up match against Hyderabad 19 team played at International Cricket Stadium in India. He played 4 matches scored 45,56,25,26 in India. Bari got selected in team not because of his batting he was the best fielder in USA u19 team. Coaches and his teammates used to call him Jonty Rhodes or Bengal Tiger.
