Roccoco was a trade name that was used for a line of jewellery sold from Vancouver Canada by a company: Humber Pacific Enterprises, Inc. between the years 1981 - 2006. The company designed, manufactured and distributed jewellery products of over 20,000 different designs. Many of the designs were from the original works of the owners, a brother and sister team. Others became part of the extensive collection by the purchase of a huge number of factory designs worldwide by the owners. The company became extinguished with the death of a primary founder, Brian Humber, on September 3, 2006. Their designs were considered interesting, classics, but not intended for the fashion or traditional jewellery industry, hence their ability to market the same designs in some cases for some twenty five years. Their primary market was desitination tourist sites, such as Grouse Mountain, aquariums, major museums and zoos throughout Canada. The Humbers established the spelling of roccoco with two "C" letters and this spelling has indured to become a recognized variation for the spelling of rococo.
