Aneesh Mathew Vergis (born 21 April 1989) is an Indian Researcher and a Musician. His research when he was doing his Masters in Zoology in St. Berchman's College, Changanassery. He discovered new species of Psuedoscorpions Metawithius keralensis[1] from Paippad, Kerala.

Early life[edit]

Early schooling started at Chalakudy. Later, went to Holy Family High School, Mannuthy till Std. 5. Upto Std. 10 at DonBosco Higher Secondary School, Mannuthy. He completed his Plus two at St. Aloysius Higher Secondary School, Elthuruth.

Research Career[edit]

His Research Career started from St. Berchman's College, Changanassery. Later Research continued at Division of Arachnology, Sacred Heart College, Thevara. Later, He discovered New species of Pseudoscorpions from Yercaud, Tamil Nadu Afrosternophorus longus [3]. During his early career, he was invited to NHMW, to study about pseudoscorpions by Mag. Christoph Horweg.

Music Career[edit]

He started learning Piano at the age of 8 under Mr. Thomas and continued his studies with Mr. Jimmy Mathew at Harmony School of Music, Thrissur [4]. He started his teaching career in music at the age of 14 and he is the only music teacher in the world to refund the fees if his student fails to learn the instrument. Later, he learnt Guitar, Violin, Recorder, DrumKit from Harp N Lyre academia musica, Kottayam.

Recognition[edit]

He was awarded first prize in the poster presentation conducted in the 5th Asian Arachnology Conference that was held at Bangkok, on November 19 to 22.[5].
