Conflict of Interest Statement

I, User:Susan Van Dyne, am a professor of the Study of Women and Gender and Director of the Archives Concentration at Smith College. The Sophia Smith Collection and College Archives are dedicated to collecting, preserving, and providing access to primary sources that document the history of the College and the history of women in America and around the world and are cultural institutions per WP:GLAM. I accept the editing conditions specified at that page. I will not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia.

My main edits will consist of the following activities:

  • Creating or enhancing existing biographies of notable American women based on both published and original primary source materials.
  • Creating or enhancing existing biographies of other notable scholars, researchers, and cultural figures, especially those from under-represented populations.
  • Adding authoritative references, citations, and images to improve the quality of existing articles of all types.
  • Updating project pages related to GLAM and to the Sophia Smith Collection and College Archives.

I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration
