Gaganananda, alias Pandit Ravindranath Vempati hails from a south Indian orthodox family in which yoga, music & dance is a 300 year old family lineage. He was born on 21st August 1974 at Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh state. As a disciple of His Holiness Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji from Mysore, he learnt ancient Veda, Music, Dance and Yoga since childhood.

Soon after his graduation from Nagarjuna University, he further studied in Yoga & Naturopathy from Gujarat Ayurved University and finally did his Master of Performing Arts from Telugu University. Pandit Ravindranath gave his 1st International flute performance at Sori Festival, South Korea in 2004 and later in Bali Spirit Festival, Indonesia.

He was deputed as a yoga teacher at JNICC, Embassy of India, Jakarta, Indonesia from 2008 to 2010, where he officially trained around 2000 students, authored a yoga book and developed corporate yoga techniques. He was awarded as a research fellow by Ministry of Culture, Government of India in 2013 for his extensive research on ‘Dance Therapy’. He traditionally gives training to his students in Veda, Yoga, meditation, classical dance, Vocal, Shehnai, Flute, Morsing, Tabla, Nattuvangam and Harmonium.
